HaloPesa and UmojaSwitch launches HaloPesa ATM Cash-out Service

IN line with both the growth in technology and the economy at large and the company’s strategy to provide to its customers quality and digitalized financial services, Halopesa continues to widen its financial services portfolio in the country alongside the national financial inclusion agenda.

Being the company’s goal to extend its services through various touch points and provide to its customers more convenient and quality services, HaloPesa in partnership with UmojaSwitch launches today the ATM Cashout service through Umoja ATMs which are widely available and distributed across the country.

Speaking during the press conference at Halotel head offices, the Head of HaloPesa Business, Mr. Magesa Wandwi said, “It’s our objective and motive to ensure that we utilize every available opportunity and relevant technology infrastructure in partnership with various stakeholders in the financial services industry to continue providing to our customers quality and convenient HaloPesa service.

"We are excited and delighted today in partnership with UmojaSwitch to launch the ATM Cash-out service that allows our customers to make withdraws at any of the over 250 Umoja ATMs across the country very conveniently with assurance to get cash any time. "There is no extra fees imposed for customers to withdraw cash at Umoja ATMs, customers will be charged the same fees as they are currently charged when making same Cash withdraws at HaloPesa Agents,"added Magesa.

With this new service along with over 50,000 HaloPesa Agents who are well distributed across the country, we will continue to serve our over 2,000,000 customers who are available both in Rural and Urban areas with both quality and convenient services.

To be able to make an ATM Cash-out, the HaloPesa customer will go through the HaloPesa menu by dialing *150*88# and select number 2 (Cash-out) from the list, then select number 2 again (UmojaATM), Then enter Amount and HaloPesa account Pin and confirm the transaction.

The customer will then receive an SMS notification with an Authorization code which he/she will use at Umoja ATM to Cash –out and receive Cash. Explained Mr. Magesa.

Speaking during the launch at the press conference as well, the UmojaSwitch Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Danford Mbilinyi, said, “our partnership with HaloPesa bonds the financial services integration and enhances the cash-out service availability anytime to HaloPesa customers through our Umoja ATMs which are widely and well distributed across the country.
