Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance has launched Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman project for Ramadan Iftar in India, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Wednesday.
The project, which aims to provide meals for more than 80,000 families in various provinces, states and cities of India during the holy month of Ramadan, was inaugurated at the Religious Attaché Office at the Embassy of Saudi Arabia in New Delhi.
Religious Attaché of the Embassy of the Kingdom in New Delhi Badr Al-Enzi said that the inauguration of the program comes as part of the support and follow-up of Minister Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Al Al-Sheikh and under the supervision of Saudi Ambassador to India Dr. Saud Al-Sati, in cooperation and coordination with the universities, associations and Islamic centers in India.
For their part, the Muslims in India praised Saudi Arabia's efforts in serving Islam and Muslims around the world, expressing their thanks and gratitude to the Saudi government.
