Therefore, journalists are called the fourth pillar of democracy. In the Kranti Divas(Revolution Day) a program is organised by Nishigandha Language Foundation of Odisha state.
As the chief guest Ex principal of Kharasrota Mahavidyalaya Dr. Harish Chandra Panda, Distinguished Guest Ex Deputy & L.A. Collector of Jajpur district Dr. Kumarbar Nayak joined in and shed light on the greatness of August Revolution Day as well as recalled the history of Gandhiji’s non-cooperation movement.
The meeting was presided over by the foundations president Mr. Chakradhar Tripathi while state coordinator Yudhisthira Muduli presided over the function,State organizing secretary Mr.Kailas Chandra Pattanaik preside the convocation meeting & the founder of the foundation Mr.Balarama Tarai give the vote of thanks & welcome to the awardees.
In that occasion the foundation gives award to 46 numbers of awardees such as Journalist Glory Award gives to Shri Gajendra Kumar Mohanty (Belpahar of Jharsuguda District).
Best Senior Journalist Award gives to Shri Pradyumna Kumar Shatapathi( the Senior Journalist & Columnist, Bhubaneswar), Shri Pradosh Patnaik(the Senior Journalist), Best Senior Journalist Award gives to Shri Lalatendu Senapati( Aathgad, Cuttack) Yashwant Journalist Award gives to Mr. Subash Chandra Pradhan (Belpahar, Jharsuguda), Natyashree Upan Charan Sahu, (Brajrajnagar, Jharsuguda), International journalist & Chairperson of Chinmaya Foundation Mr.Chinmaya Dash of Babalpur, Jajpur along with six Foreign Media such as News The World Star International of India, Diramakini of Tanzania, Creative writer & The finder newspaper of Kenya, Africa World Reports of South Africa, The Lead Newspaper of Grenada country, these were honored with certificates.
At the last part of the program the organizing secretary Mrs.Anusuya Debata gives to vote of thanks to the guests as well as awardees.
