Worship of Dakshina Kali has played an important role in the ancient Tantra system of Bharat(India).
The Danda Dakshina Kali Puja, held under the Nandipur Shasan village for more than 200 years, was held under the supervision of Acharya Kulmani Shatapathy, while the 67-year-old Dakshin Kali was held under the supervision of Acharya Akshay Kumar Shatapathi.
