GABORONE-Botswana is in the process of broadening Information and Communications Technology (ICT) through the National Digital Transformation Strategy.
This was said by the Vice President Slumber Tsogwane during his consultative meetings in Rakops, Xere and Khumaga yesterday.
The Vice President Tsogwane says digitization is one of the priority areas in governments’ reset agenda, adding that the strategy will drive Botswana towards a knowledge Based economy.
He says government is in the process of connecting internet to 203 villages to improve service delivery.
He commended President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi for his commitment in attracting investors to Botswana.
On other issues Vice President Tsogwane says Botswana will this year embark on the review of the constitution.
He told residents that President Masisi has already appointed and sworn in the constitutional review commission which was appointed legally, and urged Batswana to take it seriously and participate.
Vice President Tsogwane also commended frontline workers for their commitment in the fight against COVID-19.
He also congratulated Khumaga Primary School for attaining 88% pass during Primary School Leaving Examinations (PSLE) and urged other schools in the region to do their best.
