BOTSWANA Energy Regulatory Authority informs the general public that the retail pump prices for petrol and diesel will be adjusted as follows:
retail pump price of unleaded petrol 93 be increased by 193 thebe per litre;
retail pump price of unleaded petrol 95 be increased by 204 thebe per litre;
retail pump price of diesel 50 ppm be increased by 128 thebe per litre; and retail pump price of illuminating paraffin be increased by 367 thebe per litre.
Aviation Gasoline prices be increased as follows:
763 thebe per litre for Gaborone;
664 thebe per litre for Maun;
688 thebe per litre for Kasane; and
734 thebe per litre for Francistown
Jet fuel prices be increased as follows:
743 thebe per litre for Gaborone;
754 thebe per litre for Maun;
754 thebe per litre for Kasane; and
748 thebe per litre for Francistown.
The above changes take effect from 00:01hrs Tuesday 28th June 2022.
The pump price adjustments are done to align with international crude oil prices. Since February 2022, the main driver of international oil prices has been the Russia – Ukraine war that threatens global crude oil supplies. The rise in international oil prices have put pressure on local pump prices and aviation fuel prices.
