H.E Jestas Abouk Nyamanga Ambassador of the United Republic of Tanzania in Brussels, Belgium who is also accredited to Luxembourg, European Union Commission and African, Carribean and Pacific Group of States (ACP) visited the Port of Antwerp on July 5th, 2022.
He discussed with the Port MD, Mr Kristof Watershoot modalities of deepening cooperation between the Port of Antwerp and Tanzania Ports Authority (TPA). They affirmed commitment to forge stronger collaboration.
About TPA
TPA currently performs the role of both a Landlord and Operator with the main functions of promoting the use, development and management of ports and their hinterlands and entering into contracts for the purpose of delegating the powers of the Authority (through licensing and concessioning ports services).
TPA operates a system of ports serving the Tanzania hinterland and the landlocked countries of Malawi, Zimbabwe,Zambia, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Burundi, Rwanda and Uganda.
