In a statement, the Kingdom's Foreign Affairs Ministry has reaffirmed Saudi Arabia's firm and conscious position to renounce violence and terrorism wherever it is.

It has also expressed the Kingdom's full solidarity and its standing by Pakistan and its people in the face of terrorism.

It is noteworthy that the compound of the Embassy of Pakistan in Kabul came under attack on Friday targeting the Head of Mission, Ubaid-ur-Rehman Nizamani, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan announced.

The ministry stressed that a Pakistani security guard Sepoy Israr Mohammad has been critically injured in the attack while protecting the Head of Mission.

Mohammad Sadiq, Pakistan's special representative for Afghanistan, condemned the attack and demanded the interim Taliban administration, which took power in Afghanistan last August, to hold culprits to account.

He also called on administration to take "urgent measures" to ensure the safety and security of Pakistani diplomatic personnel and citizens in Afghanistan. (SG)
