'Guarantee security for the achievement of the Burundi Emerging Country Vision in 2040'

BUJUMBURA-By opening the 2022-2023 academic year this Friday at the Higher Institute of Police in Mitakataka, which was coupled with the final incorporation of the candidate officer recruits of the 7th promotion, the Head of State His Excellency Evariste Ndayishimiye called on the police and security forces to maintain order and preserve the safety of citizens so that they work in peace and contribute to the achievement of the Vision Burundi emerging country in 2040.

“We can only achieve this objective in a climate of peace and serenity,”declared the President of the Republic of Burundi, drawing the attention of law enforcement and security agents to their role in the success of this bet.

The Number One Burundian particularly provided advice to the 62 recruit officer candidates and urged them to promote love of the homeland through respect for the law, institutions and public affairs and without forgetting the defense of the rights of the human person.

"You must show your bravery, a security guard must be ready to sacrifice even his life to defend his country", he hammered before inviting them to implement development projects to increase their income and contribute to social development and economic of the country.

President Evariste Ndayishimiye also stresses that the population also has the duty to ensure the preservation of peace and security through close collaboration with the police and security forces to denounce suspects and thus help prevent the crimes.(Ntare Rushatsi House)
