BURUNDIAN First Lady, HE Angeline Ndayishimiye met, this Tuesday, April 18, 2023, the young students of Mwaro High School in an awareness workshop on sexual and reproductive health, well-being and COVID 19.
In his welcome speech, the Governor of Mwaro Province,Colonel Gaspard Gasanzwe said that this province is doing everything to improve the education sector.
He also deplored the number of school dropouts observed in this province despite the efforts of the administrative authorities to curb this phenomenon by convincing students to stay on the school bench.

In her teachings, the First Lady first told the students of Mwaro High School that they should focus on studies and get rid of any behavior that could jeopardize their future.
She explained to them that a young leader must think about his future by making good decisions today. “You must avoid unwanted pregnancies and any other behavior that may destroy your future life. Avoid getting infected with HIV/AIDS. There is no future without good health,” she added.
The First Lady promised to continue these teachings to young people with a view to preparing a Burundi of tomorrow with worthy and responsible men and women, capable of managing the political, economic and social affairs of the country.
During her visit to Mwaro High School, HE Angeline Ndayishimiye provided herself with a donation of 150 mattresses as well as other sports equipment.
She was accompanied by the Minister of Health Dr Sylvie Nzeyimana, the one having education in his attributions and the resident representative of the WHO in Burundi.
