GOD's Servant from Yerusalemu Pomerini Ministry located at Kilolo in Iringa region, Prophet Dr.Mjuni Kisha say, being a sign and instrument of God’s intention and plan in Africa, the church is called to play a prophetic role and exercise the ministry of reconciliation that has been entrusted to it by the Lord Jesus Christ.
Because of its trustworthy nature, Dr.Mjuni say the Church is identified to be a place and also an instrument of reconciliation.
Dr.Mjuni say, the role of the church goes beyond the reconciliation of sinner and God through Jesus Christ. It addresses reconciliation more broadly in society.
"Don't take this for granted, that, the church in Africa must also be involved in searching for solutions to the problem that produce refugees.
"This may involved supporting initiative s for democracy, peace and justice, human rights, reconciliation and leadership, and leadership, and the reconciliation of the physical and economic infrastructure of the countries from which the refuges were expelled.
"Host churches, the refugees, national churches and other church- based ministries will have to work side by side with local, region and international humanitarian, government and non-government organization.
"Some evangelicals may complain that this is to stress social rather than spiritual ministry. But both types of ministry are needed and the African church must seek to put its faith into practice by ministering to the whole person,"he say.
