BY DR.CHINMAYA DASH
HE had a weakness for art, literature, culture and social service since childhood. When he sees the poor, the helpless in the society, he automatically comes out to lend a helping hand. Little by little, he is turning into a front-line man in the field of social service.
He is a lover of art, literature and culture as well as a front-line social worker. His contribution in the field of art, literature and cultural awakening in Odisha is unique. One such person is Shankarsana Sahoo. He was met by Dr. Chinmaya Dash, Indian representative of DIRAMAKINI Newspaper.
He was born in the lap of father Bulu Sahoo and mother Tuni Sahoo in Sadabrata Matha, Jajpur district of Odisha State, exactly 48 years later, on June 15th, 1975.
Under his supervision, cultural awakening and exploration of art can be seen in different parts of Odisha through Shankar Chitralaya (Theater). Plantation of various trees, distribution of food and clothes to the poor and needy are continuing under his leadership. Today on his auspicious 48th birthday, we pray to God for continued growth, prosperity in his gifted life.
