DODOMA-On 16th May 2024, the Tanzania Chamber of Mines (TCM) Chairperson, Eng. Philbert Rweyemamu, alongside CEO Eng. Benjamin Mchwampaka and Mr. Calvin Mlingi, Chairperson of the HR, Education & Training Committee, had the pleasure of welcoming a distinguished team from the University of Dodoma (UDOM) - College of Earth Sciences and Engineering (CoESE).


The discussions centered around evaluating and improving the training programs offered by CoESE to better align them with the practical needs of the mining industry.
During the meeting, it was unanimously agreed that a robust collaboration between UDOM-CoESE and the mining industry, facilitated by TCM through its members, would be of mutual benefit.
This partnership is expected to enhance the capacity of UDOM-CoESE in areas of research and innovation, while simultaneously providing practical solutions to the operational challenges faced by the mining industry.

This collaboration promises to not only elevate the standards of education and training within the university but also ensure a steady supply of well-equipped professionals to meet the evolving demands of the mining industry.
As TCM and UDOM-CoESE embark on this promising collaboration, both parties are optimistic about the positive impact it will have on research, innovation, and practical problem-solving in the mining sector, ultimately contributing to the growth and sustainability of Tanzania’s mining industry.
