JUBA-President Salva Kiir has officially resumed work after a peaceful Christmas and New Year's festivities across the country.

President Kiir expressed his profound appreciation to the citizens, the military, and all the regular forces for maintaining peace and order during the festive season.
The Minister of Presidential Affairs, Ambassador Chol Mawut Ajongo revealed that the President wished the citizens a prosperous New Year and called upon the people to maintain the culture of peace and unity they had exhibited during the Christmas and New Year festivities. He implored them to carry forward the same spirit to all aspects of life in the new year.
President Kiir also called on Government employees to remain dedicated and focused in delivering essential services to the people.
The Head of State reaffirmed his commitment to furthering efforts to restore peace and stability across the country throughout 2025.
