President Kiir directs new government officials to boost security and development

JUBA-President Salva Kiir Mayardit today January 20th,2025 has officially sworn in the newly appointed Government officials at the Presidency, demonstrating the commitment of boosting national security, governance, and diplomatic ties.
The newly appointed officials include; Gen. Thoi Chany Reat, as Presidential Advisor of National Security Affairs, Tut Gatluak Manime was appointed Special Envoy for the Middle East.
Peter Gozulu Maze sworn in as Chief Administrator of Greater Pibor Administrative Area, while Mary James Ajith, as Undersecretary in the Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs [The undersecretary of legal affairs is usually sworn in due to the nature of their engagements within the country's legal framework].

The President also swore in the new Board of Directors of Nilepet, [the national oil corporation], and ordered its performance to promote national development.
The Head of State also swore in the Board of Directors of Civil Aviation Authority, where he called on the board to promote safety and improve Juba International Airport to meet the global standards.
